The Process

The following chart outlines the general process of becoming a franchisee with Aspire Climbing, because you can't run a race if you can't find the starting line or understand the path.

These six steps are not exhaustive but are guidelines and a more macro view of what you can expect as you engage in moving forward in pursuit of building with us. Let's go!

STEP 1

GETTING STARTED

Please complete the “Request For Consideration” form. This form allows us to learn more about you and to better understand your goals, background, and capabilities. The form is non-binding and all personal information is kept strictly confidential. This form should be sent back to kyle@aspireclimbing.ca.

We will schedule an Initial call with a member of the Aspire Climbing Development Team. We will initiate a short 10 to 15 minute call to help us get to know you better and for you to learn more about Aspire Climbing and our franchise recruitment process.

STEP 2

GETTING TO KNOW YOU (AND US)

Seven to ten days after the initial call, we will delve further into the Aspire Climbing system and franchise recruitment process. This call will take approximately one hour. The Franchise Disclosure Document is provided for your review. Every franchisor must provide prospective franchisee candidates with a copy of its Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) at the appropriate time during the franchisee recruitment process.

The FDD provides the franchisee candidate with important information about the Aspire Climbing franchise offering and outlines the relationship between franchisor and franchisee.

STEP 3

DUE DILIGENCE

Background and credit check conducted. Aspire Climbing will conduct a background check and a credit check on the franchisee candidate. Review FDD: We strongly recommend that you retain a franchise-specific attorney to help you review this detailed and rather complex document. The FDD is written in plain English, and your responses should follow our lead of not engaging in “legalese.” We will discuss what territories both you & Aspire Climbing are interested in operating in.

STEP 4

DISCOVERY DAY

Come visit us at our corporate office to get a further understanding of the Aspire Climbing brand offering, experience and culture. Our team will walk you through Aspire Climbing’s unique offering and further explore our mission and values with you and your team.We ask that you make a presentation to our Executive Team on why you would be a proper fit as an Aspire Climbing franchisee.

STEP 5

APPROVAL COMMITTEE

The Executive Team meets to vote on whether or not to approve the awarding of your Aspire Climbing franchise. If the decision is made to award a franchise, the ExecutiveTeam will communicate with the new franchisee and initiate the signing of the franchise agreement and/or area development agreement.

STEP 6

AWARD FRANCHISE

The Executive Team of Aspire Climbing will schedule a time to execute the franchise agreement and/or area development agreement. Once the franchise agreement is executed, the Aspire Climbing Training and Development team will schedule training for you and your team.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

The ideal Aspire Climbing Franchisee candidates possess business experience, passion, should be involved in businesses every day and move forward in the process by requesting additional information and completing our "Request for Consideration" form.

Business Experience

Franchise candidates should have business experience and ideally business experience in the climbing and sports business. We prefer to work with candidates who have worked in the climbing and/or sports business as we find that people who have worked in these business types are the best franchise candidates.

Passion

Franchise candidates should have a real passion for the business. We want to work with franchise owners who are excited about working with a unique and exciting brand.

Involvement

Franchise candidates should be involved in their businesses everyday. You don’t have to be at the location 24/7, but you should check in regularly and keep an eye on operations, operating costs and sales numbers. You should also be enthusiastic about promoting your Aspire Climbing business within your community.
